Three things make the vessel possible. A launch venue that routes a fee on every trade to a creator address. A runtime in which a program can own an address with no key. A way to make that program permanent by giving up its upgrade authority. None of these is new on its own. Together they allow a promise to be written as a set of impossibilities rather than a set of intentions.
